The Faversham Creek Hotel & Red Sails Restaurant combine a lifetime of experiences which come together to create somewhere special to mix with friends, old and new. On the following pages you will learn some of the history of Faversham and each bedroom, all of which are individual and named after a significant historical Faversham character. Faversham is indeed a town of character and characters!
As you will read, Faversham has a significant Maritime history. For example, the largest boat ever launched sideways was built and launched on the Creek, and much of this history is interwoven with the history of the Thames Barges, once important to the trade of the United Kingdom. Each table in the Red Sails Restaurant is named after a Thames Barge with a Faversham connection. If you are interested in the history of the Thames Barges, we have available, to buy, copies of the film Red Sails on DVD made by Faversham film maker, Mike Maloney.
The Harry Paye Bar and Lounge has a great Wine List, specialist spirits and offers the chance to join one of three clubs, ‘Whiskey and Whisky’, ‘Craft Ale’ and its very popular ‘Gin Club’.View Our Gallery Our History
